About The Game:

The Sims 4 is the fourth installment in The Sims franchise. Like the previous games in the series, The Sims 4 focuses on creating and controlling a neighborhood of virtual people, called “Sims”. The Sims 4 boasts an overhauled and intuitive Create a Sim, updated building tools, and deeper, more complex Sims through the addition of emotions and new traits.
The Sims 4 was released in North America on September 2, 2014, and in other places worldwide shortly thereafter for PC. A Mac version of the game was announced at the same time but a release date was not specified until early 2015.

It was released on February 17, 2015, several months after the PC version. Console versions of The Sims 4 were released on November 17, 2017, for Xbox One and PlayStation 4. This is the first time the full base game and content packs are available for consoles, unlike previous iterations in which a watered down version of the game was used.

The news you waited for…

The Sims is still going strong as a well known series, allowing players to project their personalities in a whole new world by using their creativity. The possibilities are limitless, and having more creators is a key part of that. With E.A finally going beyond the Origin platform, The Sims 4 will finally be on Steam to be expected on later this year, as the team revealed at E.A Play Live 2020.

Of course, being able to create, explore, live, and enjoy a utopia created by your own hand of creativity is always awesome. E.A also celebrated the many fans that made the series what it is, a heartwarming message that many sorely need right now.

Having made their great debut back in 2000, The Sims has certainly come a long and loveable way as a franchise. Giving players the freedom to create virtual people, construct dream homes, dressing, and living out virtual lives, it was escapism that retained a touch of reality.

It was a huge hit with fans, and has spawned a legacy that is accepted and appriciated by many. With its latest iteration, The Sims 4, arriving in 2014, the game has reached over almost 20 million players and counting.

The great Sims 4 has plenty to do with the support coming from the developers as well. Each entity came with its own set of downloadable content and expansions. Not only did this keep their fans coming back for more, but it also breathed new life, that is more exciting and creative into the game every time. While The Sims 4 has always been an Origin exclusive, the move to Steam will surely benefit the community even more.

The message of a better life, one where you are not judged, and makes you feel included is one we can get behind. With The Sims 4 coming to Steam, hopefully, more players will have the opportunity to experience that in a whole new world.
