The International 10 Battle Pass
The International 10

For the first time in the history of Dota 2, The International 10 prize pool has crossed $20 Million mark in record time

The International 10 Battle Pass experienced astoundingly huge increase in sales crossing the $20 million mark in record time after the first Battle Level Bundles went live on June 24.

The International is a special event of Dota 2 as a MOBA. The International also knows as TI has been conducted for 9 years marking this year the 10th, hence the name The International 10 or TI10.

This huge increase in sales caused the 2020 Battle Pass move from just $500,000 ahead of the record-setting pace from 2019 to almost $5 million ahead at the 31-day mark on the market.

The race for the highest prize pool in Dota and E-sports history transformed from being a tight race to TI10 having a significant lead heading into July. The prize pool hit the $20 million mark 19 days ahead of last year’s Battle Pass and more than 30 days ahead of 2018.

Currently, if the Battle Pass flats out and just follows 2019’s pace, the prize pool is estimated to break at least $37 million, with $40 million mark being within the close range.

The first Battle Level Bundle awards players 120 Battle Levels, 9 Immortal Treasure I, 6 Immortal Treasure II, and 3 Immortal Treasure III for just $29.99 is allowed only two purchases per player. It means that the huge spike which got the Battle Pass to this point will eventually slow down, but it will not significantly drop until June 29 when the bundle leaves the shop.

Valve has already broken its 2019 battle pass prize pool, seeing a massive spike heading into July. So, If the developers continue to release new content, including the next Battle Level Bundle and Immortal Treasure collections at a stable pace, nothing is stopping TI10 from smashing the $34,330,068 record.
