You know an R.P.G is the toughest when its creator can barely stay alive.
Watching the new trailer and make the mind about Baldur’s Gate is not enough, Larian Studios has released a significant chunk of Baldur’s Gate 3 gameplay. Back to revealing the highly anticipated and accepted R.P.G game’s potential release window of August for Early Access, Larian has put out a 90-minute gameplay video for the sequel
The early demo of 90-minutes is a smattering of quests and combat that shows how Baldur’s Gate 3 differs from Larian’s Divinity 2 and older games in the Baldur’s Gate series. Combat still has the same turn-based cadence of Divinity, but abilities seem more grounded in Fifth Edition rules.
After some addition in Graphics, more neutral actions used for navigation or interaction can also be seen, like a jump command. Andy recently shared his impressions of the same demo, noting its superb character models in dialogue. They took a huge step up from Divinity
The real joy of the demo, according to my point of view, is how much trouble Larian founder Swen Vincke (who drives this demo) has got through Baldur’s Gate’s tricky combat. It’s reminiscent of Divinity 2’s medley of chaos, but without the unpredictable elemental explosions that often got me killed.
